What Does allergen-Friendly Mean?
We know firsthand that navigating the world of eating with a food allergy can be frustrating. At Aveyo we take every precaution to ensure that our products are free of the 9 major food allergens. We do not use any of the 9 major food allergens in our products. We have also partnered with one of the premier facilities in the world which is a certified allergen free facility which does not produce any products made with the 9 major food allergens.
What does it mean to be made in a Certified allergen free facility?
An allergen friendly facility is a food production plant that certifies it is not producing any products made with the major food allergens. This is important because although a product may not be made with any of the major allergens there can still be a risk of cross contamination if the facility uses major allergens to make other products in the facility. A non-certified facility may take every precaution but the risk of cross contamination is still there if food allergens are in the facility. By partnering with this facility we eliminate that risk because the facility will not allow any of the 9 major food allergens into the plant
