Ingredients:
2 2oz cup Aveyo Original Mayo
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cornmeal
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
1/4 cup shredded cheese (optional)
1/4 cup cooked and crumbled sausage or bacon (optional)
1/4 cup chopped green onions
Directions:
Preheat your waffle iron.
In a large bowl, mix together flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk together Aveyo Mayo, milk, and egg.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Fold in shredded cheese, sausage or bacon, and green onions if using.
Pour the batter into the preheated waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions until golden and crispy.
Serve with a drizzle of Aveyo Mayo or a fried egg on top.
